Armando Tamez

CEO

Armando Tamez joined Nemak in 1984. Since then, he has held several executive positions, including President and Chief Operating Officer, and has served in the Commercial, Operations, Planning, Product Development, and Engineering areas, among others. In 2013, he was appointed CEO. Armando earned a bachelor’s degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a master’s degree from the George Washington University.

Ernesto Sáenz

Vice President Mexico

Ernesto Sáenz joined Nemak in 1996. He has held several senior executive positions across regions in the areas of Manufacturing, Product Development, Operations, and Engineering. In 2025, he assumed an expanded role as Vice President of Mexico, where he is responsible for accelerating the transformation of our operations in the region. Ernesto holds a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Dirk Barschkett

Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Dirk Barschkett has been with Nemak since 2013. He has more than 27 years of experience in executive positions in sales, operations, project management, engineering, and business development spanning the automotive and casting sectors. He was appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2019. Dirk holds an undergraduate degree from RWTH Aachen University and master’s degrees from RWTH Aachen University and University of London.

Marcelo Ortiz

Vice President Business Development and Transformation

Marcelo Ortiz joined Nemak in 2017. He has more than 20 years of experience in executive positions in strategic planning and business development in multinational companies. In 2022, he was appointed Vice President of Business Development and Transformation. Marcelo holds an undergraduate degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a master's degree from Columbia University.

Klaus Lellig

Vice President Europe and Asia

Klaus Lellig has been with Nemak since 1997. During his career in the automotive industry, he has held executive positions in manufacturing and product development. He was appointed Europe Business Unit Director in 2009 and acquired responsibility for Asia in 2020. Klaus holds a PhD from the RWTH Aachen University in Germany.

Alberto Sada

CFO

Since joining Nemak in 1994, Alberto Sada has held several executive positions, including Vice President of Strategic Planning, and has served in the Commercial, Financial Planning, Treasury, and Information Technology areas, among others. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2015. Alberto earned a bachelor’s degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Marc Winterhalter

Vice President Purchasing and Sustainability

Marc Winterhalter joined Nemak in 2016. He has more than 20 years of experience in supply chain management in the automotive industry. Marc earned a degree from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (formerly known as the University of Karlsruhe) in Germany.

Edgar Noyola

Global Human Resources Director

Edgar Noyola joined Nemak in 1995. He has held several executive positions in Operations and Human Resources at Nemak. He was appointed Global Human Resources Director in 2022. Edgar holds an undergraduate degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a master's degree from Claremont Graduate University.

Dario Fornasero

Vice President South America

Born in Argentina, Dario joined Nemak in 1998. He holds a degree in Business Management and an Executive MBA in Finance.

Carlos Vasto

Vice President China

Carlos holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Mackenzie University in São Paulo and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business Administration in Zurich.

Member of the Board of Directors of Alfa, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) Mexico, School of Social Sciences and Government of Tecnologico de Monterrey, and International Women’s Forum (IWF), Mexico chapter.

Eugenio Garza Herrera

Independent Board Member

Nemak Board Member since June 2015. Chairman of the Board of Xignux, S.A. de C.V. Member of the Board of Directors of Corporación EG, Banco Nacional de México, S.A. (Citibanamex), Endeavor, Cydsa, México Evalúa, Arcelor Mittal México, Akaan, the regional board of Banco de México, and the Roberto Garza Sada Center for Art, Architecture and Design of UDEM, and he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pak2Go and Maixico. He also presides over the Consejo Consultivo Norte of Citibanamex, and the Transparency, Effective Governance and Regulatory Improvement Commission of the Consejo Nuevo León, and he is a member of the Development Committee of MIT Corporation. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees, the Institutional Governance Committee, and Chairman of the Development Committee of ITESM.

Gary Lapidus

Independent Board Member

Nemak Board Member since June 2015. Mr. Lapidus is a former Institutional Investor-ranked automobile and auto parts Research Analyst at Goldman Sachs Co. and Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. He was a Director at Booz-Allen Hamilton.
