The Rautenbach family could not have imagined that the Wernigerode site would one day be an important part of a successful international company.
In 1935, they built the first foundry for aluminum castings from an old wagon factory. In 2005, the company became part of the Nemak Group. More than 85 years later, Nemak Wernigerode GmbH specializes in the production of cylinder heads and engine blocks made of aluminum castings.
Nemak Wernigerode GmbH is thus a company with a long tradition and around 600 employees at the site. Focused on the production of aluminum components in the high-price sector and on custom-made products in the automotive industry, Nemak Wernigerode is an important part of the Nemak Group.
